OK, so, I’m not in England, where Mr. Darcy surely roams the landscape searching for me… (yes, I am a hopeless romantic!) but Ireland is close enough in this instance. The rain steadily soaked us today so we took comfort in some tea in the drawing room of our hotel. Later, I strode alone like Lizzie herself across the grounds, thick with lush green grass below my soggy shoes and brooding grey skies overhead. Not even the incessant rain could dampen my spirits as I inhaled the sweet scent of the Irish countryside. I felt alive, simply, utterly alive!

The world is full of magical photo ops…

All you need to grab them is a zest for life, an eye for the extraordinary and that trusty camera of your choice.

Raise the sturdy weight of it to your face … close one eye then … lower your finger upon the shiny black button… hold your breath then… hear that hypnotic click and suddenly, dynamite explodes! the stars collide! and maybe, just maybe you’ve captured a magnificent moment in time… How thrilling is that?!?

Hi Ainsley. I hope that you enjoy your stay in Ireland despite the weather. The countryside is much like Wales.Looks like a great hotel. Console yourself with the knowledge that we in Wales, just across the Irish Sea from you, also have the same conditions.
Approx. 4 weeks ago drought was officially declared for most of the U.K. and the use of hose-pipes was banned for most of England then, guess what, it started to rain and has kept on raining for most of the time since the ban was declared. Ban lifted this week after much flooding in all parts of U.K. Have a great time. P.

Sorry Ainsley, some guy calling himself Darcy or something like that just called and asked if I knew where you were. Very old fashioned clothes he had on. Cheers. P. :-)

Beautiful……………….I don’t think anybody comes to Ireland for the weather…………….that would be a bonus……………….I am Irish so I suppose I am slightly biased but I love it when visitors enjoy this lovely place…………………………………Joyce
