Captured the detail of a gondola while out on a three hour trek through Venice in the wee hours this morning. This front portion was beckoning me from a distance, bobbing up and down gently from just below the walkway I was strolling upon. I have always adored the romantic look of gondolas.

I came in closer and took the picture, amazed at how the light was even through the middle of the water as there was a small bridge just beyond where I was shooting. The water then reflected the buildings on either side of me. I was fascinated by the way the water took the shape of the gondola. What do you think?

Natural light, no crop, no edit.

The world is full of magical photo ops…

All you need to grab them is a zest for life, an eye for the extraordinary and that trusty camera of your choice.

Raise the sturdy weight of it to your face … close one eye then … lower your finger upon the shiny black button… hold your breath then… hear that hypnotic click and suddenly, dynamite explodes! the stars collide! and maybe, just maybe you’ve captured a magnificent moment in time… How thrilling is that?!?

The water’s reflections do mimic the gondola’s unique bow (stern). Well seen! I am impressed by your ability to capture what you do without any processing or editing. Remarkable, really. Your most recent photo of Ava inspired me to post a pic. ☺
