Captured the newest member of our zoo, uh… family, as I discovered her curled up in a sink of all places! Something tells me she would be mighty ticked if that faucet above her should usher forth any unwanted water! She’s in luck, since I wouldn’t dare disturb her.

We adopted her from an auto body shop last week. She was one of many strays that hung out at that business. She did get to spend some time in the shop, curling up on desks or in cardboard office boxes. I took one look at her as she nuzzled Ava and offered to give her a good home. She was especially fascinating in that she had 6 toes on each front paw! The wonderful gentleman who owns the shop was reluctant at first, since she’d been a fixture for years, but after seeing the instant bond between Ava and his purring cat, he agreed to let us bring her home. She fit in immediately, and for the first time in her life she’s delighting in a cozy bed with comfy blankets and pillows to relax on… or the occasional sink! We named her Minnie, after Minnie Mouse, since she’s black and white and her big white paws look huge with those extra toes, just like Minnie Mouse’s big mittened hands.
