This is not, for me, just “a” photo.
This lake is located on the grounds of my family-in-law.
That day, I had taken the photo at the exact same place we put my mother-in-law ashes the day before.
So you can understand how touched I’ve been to see that heart shape ! For all the family and I, it is more than a simple shot. We interpreted this as the last goobye to all, saying “I love you”. I have tried to get the heart reflection each year since then and never been able to. All was in place to get it at that particular day; trees, branches, grass, clouds and probably… inconditional love defying humanity limitations …
So now you know why that photo is so special to me and always will be . even though it is not aesthetically the best, I had to submitted it as is. not changing anything

some other work in my portfolio (clickable)

thank you for the visit !

Wonderful capture and poignant story. It reaffirms my belief that to take a picture is to capture a moment of time, and that the universe does indeed communicate with us at some basic elemental level. "The one-ness of all creation. I’m sure your Mother in Law did indeed reflect love in her heart. Thanks for the image and story.

  • thanks to you ! I’m very happy it touched you

This shot is beautiful and touching! I have a similar meaning to a simple shot I took also. So I understand how powerful love can impact the outlook of a shot. Thanks for sharing!
