What luck I have. The Bald Eagle is a very rare sighting in Michigan, unless you live in the far west portion of the Upper Penninsula. I was actually driving down the road , and saw two of them flying up ahead. Although I had never seen one outside of a zoo, they are distinct enough that I immideately recognized that they were Eagles. So I pulled over, and was lucky enough to have them fly overhead and land in this tree directly across the street. I managed to have my camera ready on the fly, and captured this shot just as he, or she, was landing!
Taken between Grattan and Greenville, Michigan along Lincoln Lake Rd.
