I’m missing my Army soldier,
He may not be my husband,
But he’s my boyfriend,
And I miss him so.
I now know how it feels to feel so lone,
Living my life waiting for the phone to ring,
Or waiting for that letter saying, “Hey Baby, I miss you,”
Yet I miss him so.
Now I know how other families, wives, and girlfriends feel,
Feeling like their life has ended while they wait,
Thinking constently for their men,
I sitll miss him so.
He may not be over seas,
But it feels like forever waiting for the one you love,
It’s hard but I do it,
Babe, I miss you so much.
I’m just waiting nine weeks for your arrival home,
Knowing I’ll be in your arms sooner than I think,
I’ll be waiting for you where ever you go,
I miss you so.
I wrote this because my boyfriend is in the Army and I miss him so much. Just thinking of him coming home in nine weeks makes me feel some what at ease.
