The Naval Escort Passes Alcatraz by

One of the very fast very noisy (Useless for covert stuff) navy escorts returning by Alcatraz after escorting the USS Makin Island out of San Francisco Bay following the end of Fleet Week

Sony DSC-HX1

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

Cool shot! Well seen and captured!

  • Either one or two of these boats escorted each ship that took part in Fleet Week out of the Bay, going out behind Alcatraz, but returning in front. So they were in and out a few times that morning.
