This is Sea Princess, departing San Francisco on the first day of my first visit to San Francisco. You can see the tops of the two towers of the Golden Gate Bridge above the fog. On some days it was as if the fog rolled in only to appear stopped by the Golden Gate Bridge, holding it back from advancing further in to the bay. Inside the bay reamined clear blue skies.

Sony DSC-HX1

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

you seem to have a fantastic supply of incredible images of the San Francisco you saw years ago, though all this is past history!! what other amazing images are you hiding of my hometown? hahahaa i expect a feature on this image soon!! thanks for sharing your perspective on my town!!

  • I just got my camera a couple of months earlier and it took over 2,100 pictures on that first trip to San Francisco. Previously, the most I’d ever taken on a holiday was 48, because that was the most the memory card of my old 2MP digital camera would hold.
