Airbus A380-861 F-WWDD by Barrie Woodward

Currently unavailable for purchase

Available to buy on…

Airbus A380 in house colours taxiing to the end of the runway at Farnborough International Airshow in 2010. There probably aren’t many places where you can get this close to the A380. If you’re next to the runway, when she takes off, hold on to your hat or be prepared to lose it.

Sony DSC-HX1

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

What a monster! In Malaga (Costa del Sol, Spain) they built special terminals for them, probably to accomadate the masses from around Europe…

  • At Farnborough 2012, you were allowed to walk through the upper and lower decks of this A380, to see the miles and miles and miles ofwiring and test equipment on board

Great shot! Lovely lighting and sky. This giant is a great aircraft in all senses of the word.

  • Thanks, Colin. Lighting not so kind the weekend just gone. She has had a new house livery applied complete with tag line ‘A<380Love At First Flight’
