Another view of The Golden Gate Bridge. Again,taken on a hot sunny day, from the trail above the beaches. 27 and 28 May 2012 saw the 75th anniversaries of Pedestrian Day and the opening to traffic (respectively) of the Bridge.

From sea level to the top of the towers is just shy of 755 feet. Each tower has an estimated 600,000 rivets.

It is said there have been over 1.75 billion crossings since then.
In 1994 The Golden Gate Bridge was named one of the Seven Civil Engineering Wonders of the United States by the American Society of Civil Engineers.

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
