Three Canal Crossings by

We have an opening swing bridge, disused railway bridge and in the distance the Thelwall Viaduct. Each crossing the Manchester Ship Canal on the way to the River Mersey.
Maybe next time with a blue sky,

About AH64D

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

very nice perspective! i thought that was a blue sky!!! ;) we got a bit of clouds today, maybe with luck it won’t get burnt off and will try a set pix later

  • It was bitterly cold and very windy that day.
I had hoped to get the canal in aswell, but by the time the boat had approached the swinging bridge, it was just not possible without cutting off the railway bridge.
