Crossing Jack Frost's Path by Barrie Woodward

Taken in December 2010, at a junction of two footpaths that have seen quite a lot of snowfall (For the UK). The sheep were closer to home and so mine would be the first feet to cross that particular ground. It seemed a shame to disturb the snow. No signs of such snowfall in 2010.

Lancashire NW England

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

“a lot of snowfall (For the UK)* what? does it snow LESS in your area? hahahahaa thanks for the snow memory – i’ve lived in areas where the snowfall was a meter higher than displayed here!! happy holidays buddy!! stay warm and safe!!

  • We don’t generally get much in the way of snow, but as soon as a single flake falls, you can pretty much guarantee traffic chaos as our ill prepared country grinds to a halt as a result.
That said I believe there are photos out there that show drifts 8 to 10 feet deep in my area, but that was back in the 1940’s
