I wonder which is the older, the San Francisco Cable Car or the contents of the shop behind it?
I think every country should have these. Dare I point out that this American Icon arose out of the mind of a Brit way back in the 1870’s?
If you get the opportunity, I would recommend a visit to the Cale Car Barn on the corner of Mason and Washington which explains how they work and you can see the motors that drive the 57,300 feet of cables on the Powell, Mason, Hyde and California Street Lines.
This picture was taken in September 2009 and has hue and saturation alterations in photo manager to create the sepia effect.

Sony DSC-HX1

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
