This specimen was perched on a street sign on Marina Green in San Francisco. I believe it to be a crow. I never expected to get so close to it. They appear much braver than their counterparts in the UK

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

    big versions are ravens and the smaller ones are crows. this seems to be a raven, and they are very noisy! they also get a bug sometimes and go flying above, and pecking people’s heads. lovely shadow details!!!
