Early Morning Mayweed by Barrie Woodward

Currently unavailable for purchase

Available to buy on…

Mayweed is a native annual or biennial weed of arable or waste land. When the sun goes down the petals all fold neatly down as seen here. Once the sun hits them again in the morning they gradually unfold and look quite similar to the daisy in appearance. You can see a picture taken later in the morning in my Wildflower Collection album. These were found in a farmyard in Lancashire NW England.

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.
