A Garden Orb Spider. Earlier in the day I had unwittingly damaged the spider’s web by lifting the dustbin lid – it had attached a fine strand which I had not seen. Next day the web was back a little further down the fence and this time not attached to things us humans interfere with.
My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

i have snapped spiders before though in the wind and never got as great a shot as you have here!! but of course, with the crazy wind it wasn’t easy
