Spring seems a long way off just now, but you can always wish it would come quicker. These Daffodils were in a banking. The usual view of the daffodil is with the light very much in front or above them. I thought this view looked a little more unusual with the sun rising behind them.
Picture taken in Lancashire NW England.
Sony DSC-HX1

My pictures are taken with a Sony DSC-HX1. What you see is pretty much what comes from the memory card, with maybe a touch of rotation and or cropping.
I probably wouldn’t be taking so many pictures if it weren’t for the camera. It has been worth every penny as it has captured some great memories since I got it in 2009.
Feel free to comment on any of the pictures. I’m all for learning how to improve.

quite nice perspective. each time i get down to capture such a perspective, i end up very dirty and muddy even. still, sometimes worth it as your nice image proves.
I have used this wonderful image to kick-off the Flowering Bulbs that Show Sky challenge
Please feel free to use this image or any other image in the challenge when it opens for entries.
Thanks for the comment! I shall use the image in the challenge, see how it goes. It was one of my favourites from that day. It was only when I had crouched down to look up at them that I realised that it seemed quite an unusual view point and I liked the way the sun behind gave a totally different cast of yellow to them.

Thank you. It’s not long before spring is here and the Daffs are out again. Just got to get winter out of the way first :)

Lovely photo of light through the petals, and I love the unique perspective. Earns my vote in the current challenge—good luck to you! (fav)
Thanks very much. These were actually growing in a banking by the side of a farm track and so I mangaed to get this angle without getting right down on to the damp cold (It was a cold day) floor
