What could be better after a long day’s sail than to put your feet up and enjoy this wonderful place.
The view is from just outside the Crinan Canal towards the Inner Hebrides. From the left: the island of Jura; the bright V is Corryvreckan; then Scarba under the the red sky and the mountains of Mull in the distance.
The photograph was taken after 10pm, just as the sun is beginning to set in the north (yes, in the north, but it doesn’t really set it just hides over the horizon for an hour or so and it doesn’t get dark).
This is the anchorage at its busiest, with most of the boats participating in the Crinan Classic Boat Festival.
