Just treated myself to a new lens a Nikon 18-200mm f3.5-5.6 G ED VR II AF-S DX lens, so just took a short ride out around the local lanes.
The White Lion Inn dates back to 1614 and is situated in the picturesque Cheshire village of Barthomley, just a few minutes from Junction 16 of the M6.
When entering the building you step back in time, with the church settles for seating and the open coal fires. There are 5 traditional cask ales to choose from as the biker outside has just discovered.
The village lies not far from Crewe, the latter, now large town, once being part of the Parish of Barthomley.
