A restored bottle kiln (or oven) in Longport, Stoke-on-Trent, sits alongside the Trent and Mersey canal.
This kiln, along with the one at the Spode factory in Stoke, is the earliest surviving example of a fire proofed construction in the pottery industry.
The site best known for the production of teapots is that of the potbank of Price Brothers: c.1896-1961, Price & Kensington 1961 onwards.
