Robert, thank you for your comment. One of the most important things, besides taking the picture, is to get to know your subject. When we photograph monuments we know their names i.e Aifel Tower, Empire State Building, Taj Mahal, Victoria Falls etc etc – how often do we even ask the name of the human subject we photograph during our travel, let alone getting to know or understand them. I spent 5 days with 11 beggers in Pakistan when the temperature was close to 50 degree C. Gulam Fatma was one of them. Yes, indeed, I have ‘’a very strong relationship with my photographic work’’ and with the human subjects I photograph.
powerful portrait. I can’t even tell her age… not that it matters at all. an outstending shot.. strange how she looks like she knows everything about me…. raw life captured so deeply here.
Stunning and Haunting! Beautiful work! I see you’ve also traveled to Greece – I was so young and broke when I went that I only brought a cheap point and shoot that I couldn’t reeally use! I head back tomorrow if finances would allow! Beautiful!

Great shot Afzal. I love the earthy tone. Well done.
Wonderful work Afzal. It seems to me you have a very strong relationship with your photographic work. This one is so direct and even piercing. Cheers.
