Robert, thank you for your comment. One of the most important things, besides taking the picture, is to get to know your subject. When we photograph monuments we know their names i.e Aifel Tower, Empire State Building, Taj Mahal, Victoria Falls etc etc – how often do we even ask the name of the human subject we photograph during our travel, let alone getting to know or understand them. I spent 5 days with 11 beggers in Pakistan when the temperature was close to 50 degree C. Gulam Fatma was one of them. Yes, indeed, I have ’’a very strong relationship with my photographic work’’ and with the human subjects I photograph.
