I paint in a realistic figurative style. The mediums I enjoy the most are watercolor pencils, acrylics, graphite and charcoal. I’m available to take commissions.
I admire the complexity of nature, so I try to elaborate a tribute to it in every artwork. For that matter I usually mix reality with fantasy, it helps me to easily express an interaction and a strong bond in between nature and people. The fantasy side of my work is often inspired by dreams, memories, and popular culture matters like legends, myths, metaphysical perceptions of things in nature, and religious themes as well.
In my portrait artwork, I try to render a lot of details, since I go after a description of the portrayed person essence; just like a writer uses words to create lines that make a history; I make this description with every pencil stroke or brushstroke that creates particular features that define a person’s identity. When I render a portrait, besides the artistic meaning, I involve a sentimental meaning by capturing the essence of forms in order to simulate a perceptible presence of the subject, so it can be particularly appreciated by the portrait owner.
