Bus Ride #1
I had a recent assignment in my documentary class where we had to go on the Orange County bus and take pictures of people. Man, people are fucking rude, mean, private, and absolutely hate it when you take their picture. Mind you, I know my right as a photographer and being on a public bus I am allowed to take pictures of them, (plus the class got clearance from the bus management and allowed us to take pictures) but no one really cared.
So occasionally I would ask people to take their picture, most always said no. Eventually I would just see someone and take their picture rather than missing that moment. Man….I can’t tell you how many people threatened to take my camera and rip it to shreds from this project…

You were in Orange County. In East LA, you’d be dead. In Nevada County you would have been welcomed. In Sacramento County you would have been robbed (if the camera was nice). In Oakland you’d have been arrested. In Humboldt County you’d have been ignored unless you shot a pot farmer…
The wider your aperture, the more light you’ll allow in. ;-)

Ah! That’s where I’ve seen you before. The Post Office… Remind me not to piss you off, OK?
