Mesa Arch Sunrise.
Mesa Arch, in Canyonlands National Park, Utah, faces east and is a perfect location for a dramatic sunrise image. The clouds blocked the horizon at sunrise, but my patience was rewarded when the sun suddenly broke through a small gap in the clouds for a brief moment.

Beautiful capture! i really want to go this place again but I can’t. I heard it’s best to get this picture in Sept. Is it correct?

Hi Julayne,
In September the sun rises more to the right. I took my photo early July and I like the composition as it is. I don’t think there is a bad time to be there, it is an amazing place. If you go to Canyonlands don’t miss the False Kiva. It’s a little trickier to find but very rewarding, mid-day would be the best time to photograph it.
