Looking west from the lookout above Sphinx Rock, between Sorrento and Portsea, Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.
On a day of big swells, the steady sea-breeze was blowing a dense, low-lying mist up the seaward side of the peninsula. Been a while since my paragliding days, but I’d have thought the conditions ideal for the guys slope-soaring along the coastal uplift. In fact, they would have been much safer than the people clinging precariously to the last vestiges of sand above the high-water mark.
Canon EOS30D, ISO100, EF24-105F4L IS @ 105mm, f4, 1/4000s, handheld, IS on. Some very minor post-processing in CS5, mono conversion using Nik SilverEfex Pro 2.
Thanks Ian. It was a really odd mist – never seen it cling so hard to the gullies, which left the tops of the hummocks clear. Didn’t really boost too much in the mono conversion. Cheers, BigAl

Yes, it was – although out of the breeze (on the other side of the peninsula) it was a glorious day. Cheers, BigAl
