Australian Sea Lions at Hopkins Island, South Australia.
Sea Lions are Pinnipeds that is the same family as Seals and Walrus, but not exactly the same.
They are also mammals.
This SeaLion is endemic to Australia, that is it is only found in Australia. They are particularly found in South Australia and Western Australia.
As you can see they are very sociable and very curious.

    The Hopkins Sea lion colony is usually visited on the way out or coming back in from the South Australian Great White trip…I was happy we visited on the way out…may not have got in after seeing the Whites :-)

    Hi Frozenfa, these guys are 100% wild and incredibly agile, it would not only be hard to get to touch them, it would be dangerous, especially around time of birthing. There is a code of behaviour to stick to with them but its actually for our protection..not there’s ;-)
