The tall ship ‘Southern Swan’ glides towards its berth at Circular Quay, Sydney, in the shadow of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
This berth near The Rocks is close to the point where The First Fleet arrived in Port Jackson on 26 January 1788. This fleet carried four of my wife’s ancestors including three convicts and a seaman.
