As part of our visit a tiny traditional Maasaii village in Northern Tanzania, we spent some time watching this outdoor infants school in action. They sang, they clapped, they recited the tables on the chalk board and they applauded when we placed money in the collection tin at the front of the class, to help raise money for a proper classroom. Older children travel 20kms per day to the nearest government school where education is free up to the completion of Elementary (Grade 7) stage.
