Aborigines believe these “Giant Pebbles” are the eggs of the Rainbow Serpent. They are known as the “Devils Marbles”, and are located near Tennant Creek in Central Australia. There are many of these “marbles” at this location.

They are granite formations that have become prominent as the surrounding sandstone has weathered away over millions af years. It is believed these formations were originally square blocks that have been, and continue to be shaped by massive differences in the temperature between night and day and many other forces of nature.
