You may have no confidence in your landscape photography, yet you can interact with a model like this! (I take shots of landscapes because I’m rubbish at portraits)
Cracking, provocative shot.
Adrian Carmody replied
I was interacting with a friend on this one… all the models I use are friends, or friends of friends. Jumping up onto stools and acting like a goose with a camera like this needs practice in the company of friends to help build that confidence

like the frame. What lens you used?
Adrian Carmody replied
I need to start adding this stuff to my descripstions
I used my old Tamrom 19-35mm 3.5-4.5, shot at 19mm. It’s the widest lens I have, and on a crop body it’s not fantastically wide, sharp or fast. I’m waiting a few months to invest in a 17-55mm 2.8f
D300, no flash
F5, 1/160 at ISO1600

That explains a lot. Brilliant choose for ISO speed to have the rings like that, without flash.
Maybe (just an idea) use strobes to create some backlight on her hair?
True, it’sa real change because setting up flash lights , man.. that’s not easy. But it would give it that extra tweak.
But again, the posing is great, eye contact super. Love it
Adrian Carmody replied
I have never done a studio shoot like this before, I looked at all the shots straight away and wished I had set my flash to trigger from behind for a few of these shots.
Next time!
