Hello dear RB-friends,
A sad photo this time….!
I say “Goodbye” to the tulips from 2010…..and I say “Goodbye” to my tulips series.
All these beautiful colors of spring are gone!
When I was on this plot last week to make some new pictures the bulbs breeder came with his tractor.
At the front of this tractor the “mowing machine” was mounted to remove the heads of the tulips.
On the back was a spraying machine mounted.
Why should cut tulips are sprayed?
The mower makes small cutting wounds on the plants and through these wounds, the plant can be infected with viruses or bacteria.
Therefore a protective preventive spraying is needed.
I’ll upload 2 more pictures.
There you can see how it all works….
I hope you have enjoyed this colorful series….
