The stunning Photographer Anne Young took shots of this pair
A monkey who adopted a stray kitten
Anne posed the thought “It begs the question”
I posed this as my comment:
“Where did our fetish for loving pets come from?
This scenario suggests it evolved with us from our days as apes
it should there fore be held as symbolic of the true reason for man’s existence on this planet not as the industrialist who strives for progress and the acquisition of financial independence
but as the caretakers of the world
we should use our abilities to protect and assist those that cannot assist themselves and to make sure the world will continue for those that come after us!
Someone asked “How will he take care of it?”
As any of us should – by sharing what he has, by finding what his little dependent needs, by giving the fundamental rights of all living beings – shelter respect sustenance education and companionship – and by treasuring the unconditional love that grows between them for these efforts.
I love the fact it is a male monkey doing the petting
I love the fact that the little ginger kitten is most likely male also
and I love the fact that there is no segregation or regulation to love and care
…. and nor should there ever be!
A stunning portraiture that we should all take notice of
beyond the facade of “awe how cute!” regardless of belief or philosophy
this shows the fundamental purpose of Homo sapiens – to care!
Thank you so much Anne for this!

The other day someone called me a Commentator of Life – the Greek term is “Zographos” – writer of life!
I guess that’s what I am, just as any photographer or painter is. After all isn’t that what we are doing as artists? Commenting on the world as we see it!
Thank you Anne for posing this for us all to consider!
