I see you
left over from centuries ago
leafless and bland
so proud you stand
and wait for what time will show
See the contours change
from normal to strange
and the sky become different too
will you still be there
when the earth becomes bare
and the sun’s all that’s left of the blue
Man will not learn
tho the teacher is stern
and the consequences are grave
but the pattern is there
and the truth is laid bare
by the road repetition paves
So heed what we say
and change the way
consumption consumes everything
or the earth will die
and none will survive
and the last you will know is nothing

Our drought comes from the world not being water wise as much as from our own people!
