~ Azure Gazing ~
I have finally discovered Carmen through her fabulous painting Swept-away That was on the Art front page!
It reminded me of how I once lived
- finding the only peace & solace & space in looking up!
More than that it indicated to me that I have survived that life & moved on
I no longer live like that and shall never subject myself to that again!
I took heart & courage in the fact that, although I could see nothing else around me that was peaceful, I could see the sky.
It gave me strength, it gave me hope, it gave me faith; that no matter what trials and mistakes I was dealing with at the present, life will go on and I will survive.
For any other person out there incarcerated in a private hell of their own, look UP
to the vast beauty of our sky … and breathe … and have faith that life will go on
and this too shall pass!
Keep Happy! :O)

the vegies and their pot of boiled water find the sink
Seconds later the thud of the back door
Sitting on the trailer’s edge the sounds of the neighbourhood blissfully fade
As I stare up at the blue evening sky and …
... breathe ….
How did I become so contained in a box?
With screaming demanding stir crazy kids!
Cant he see that we need space to grow! …
... to express! ... to …
... breathe …
The sky is darkening,
my neck is stiffening
but I cannot tear my eyes from the vastness
.... the peace …
of the fathomless azure …
How I wish it would all blow away with the clouds
and I could just float
in the peace
of the sky
forever
...
A screech of pain assails me through the ambiance of meditation
Wearily I blink
and drop my chin
and return to the shamozzel that is my life
Until tomorrow night
and woe betide anyone who prevents me from sky gazing then!

We all have something to help to get us through the places and the ‘things’ that truly we put ourselves into and think we can’t get out of … the sky and stars were mine too in those bad days and losing myself in books and poetry. And then there comes the blessed day when you realise that you can get out and you can take the sky and the stars and the books with you!
This is a sincerely beautiful written work or should I say ‘gift’ to us all. with light love and laughter my friend!! xox
