whispers false promise of love
in my aching ears
the sun
burns my throbbing head
relentless in it’s warming task
till it’s done
but my tired eyes
see the peace the bliss of the other
my ever hopeful heart believes my eyes
for the serenity such balance transpires
I live
it may not be long
it may be forever
I need nothing
but serenity, warmth, sustenance

Verses are all fair and well but this to me is true poetry from the heart and the soul and that omnipresent force I feel I am a segue in words for.
