There upon the stony ground
nothing else for miles around
Two Trees Grew
Their trunks were gnarled and curved with age
the boughs and twigs entwined in rage
Two Trees Fought
I have been here longer than you
I saw the earth when it was new
The right tree boasted
How can you say that silly tree
you would not be there if not for me
The other tree scoffed
A bird flew down and sat below
he watched them swaying to and fro
The two trees tugging
You are the very strangest trees
you grow entwined eternally
The bird laughed at them
When you have ceased this silly war
you’ll see as others have before
that no matter what you perceive
you will be the only trees
The bird flew away
There upon that stony ground
where nothing else grew all around
two trees stood entwined as one
and swayed in the breeze
Two Trees
Another verse for my bubble art inspired collection
This time Mr Jason Connolly’s fine work Two Trees
Thank you dear Jason :o)
I have no idea where these come from but I kinda liked this one

Made me think of a funny poem from a ducth man where two weeping willows seem to be very sad but if you care to take a closer look you will see they cry from laughter…
no way i can translate it to give the right feeling of this poem but i think you can paint the picture for yourself….

For some reason this made me think of Gibran’s chapter in “the Prophet” on Marriage – I know it wasn’t the same point but it just evoked a memory of that. Really well done, Alyssa – just love it!

Oh I just love this….on the surface it may seem kind of light but there can be many meanings intertwined within this…..Of coarse I would be the tree with the pain in the ass attitude (giggle) Hugs xoxoxoxoxo
