Whenever I and my children see a Christmas tree we think of this ditty:

I can see a Christmas Tree

26 years ago I had just left the Melbourne Youth Choir and I was blessed that Christmas Eve with after assisting them with the “Carols By Candlelight” in the Myer Music Bowl some friends from the the choir came back to my house and there I turned on the lights of my Christmas tree and one by one the 5 friends sang for my son’s first Christmas Eve Tree this ditty in perfect impromptu 5 part harmony.

They then broke into this German Carol as we put my boy to bed :

O Tannenbaum, o Tannenbaum,
Dein Kleid will mich was lehren:
Die Hoffnung und Beständigkeit
Gibt Mut und Kraft zu jeder Zeit!
