Creative Mind
While I was into painting (20 odd years ago) I painted this … an explosion of colour on my base fave colour {green} [house paints on acrylic poster paint!]
I remember being a bit peeved I didn’t have a few more vibrant jewel like colours like red and orange and purple! but this was pretty cool I thought!
Then when I stood back & looked at it it reminded me of my mind in full swing! Wanting to go every-which-way all-at-once!
( No wonder people think I’m crazy! lol )

Thanks …. It may have started as a hydrangea for my dad … he likes them but I think I gave up when I got carried away with the flicked bits that were actually put on with the edge of a knife and then the blue & black ones with a skewer lol

Oh yes that it does!
But I have been having problems of late actually settling into the formation of writing … hence why I’ve put up these artworks finally …. that and we got a new little camera to photograph them with! lol

I adore the colours, the texture, the emotive impression it gives the viewer as well as your pointilist/Jackson Pollockesque style.
Or on second thoughts, it is neither. It is adraysia or Alyssamism! lol!!!

Oh, and not painting in 20 years is no excuse…if I can dust my art off the locked and cobwebbed, dust laden shelves after about 30 years…than you most certainly can!!!!!!
You’ll be amazed how good it feels to get your hands on some paint again and release your creativity.

I kind of knew Pollock but didn’t think I was anything like him lol
I dont try to do stuff like others I just do what I feel and it comes out like however it does!
Even my Drawers and other woodwork pieces – yes we all did similar pieces to the same pattern & dimensions but mine seemed to always look slightly different! The colour or the finish or the trim or (lol) the knot hole in my tool box that now has a ring through it so I can clip keys to it and hang my rag through it! lol
See different! lol
But I promise you other than a few more woodwork pieces that I have [and will photograph & post up] It’s back to writing!
But then I did do tapestry and pottery and …... lol

I collected all these pots of house paint and the draw bottoms from a roadside dumping for hard rubbish collection day cos i just felt like painting and then at home raided my kids Poster Paint to lay the back ground!
I dread to think what the colours were used for in the house lol
Funny it doesn’t seem this bright in reality!

You know theres a lot of programs now that you can paint on your computer with a mouse or a stylus tablet. and most have free trial periods.. check into Corel Painter Essentials 4 or Corel Painter 11, and good luck with all your Art.. Don :)

Ah but they dont come with a free new computer to go with it! and there in lies my problem lol
But hey isnt that kinda cheeting … like the clayton’s of painting … the painting you do when you’re not really painting?
Besides I think painters get high on the fumes and that’s what helps them create! lol

Well like I’ve said before, The End (results). justify the Means (The Way its produced). As long as the Senses are filled, why would it matter what the artist went thru. I rarely think of the fumes the guy musta inhaled when he painted something. :) Don *just my humble opinion.

This image is magnificent – I love the intricate detail and definitely in my favourite colours too – you need to do more of this work as its wonderful and would also be a great way to release your talent in this area. You are so creative in more ways than one and this could open a door for you here as well. I wait with baited breath for more!!! I do love it in the canvas effect like Jan put up – definitely a HUGE canvas would do it justice.
