Thank you for coming to visit my world of words!
First of all and foremost I AM a W R I T E R!

W O R D S are my art! ~ I write novels poetry & prose
In here I have developed my ability for EKPHRASIS treatise
almost instantaneously written when I see art in here
[you’ll find most are composed (written) in the comment box under the art]
But I began writing novels and long short-stories as soon as I could form a sentence (about 4yo! lol) but Poetry is for me rather recent [2007]
What I definitely am NOT is a pictorial artist!

I can Fluke a good shot or dabble a bit in painting or creating something crafty (knitting, tapestry, pottery & woodwork)
But words are my passion!

I believe that we as artists are the culture makers
History is recorded by the cross reference of events depicted in art & culture
Therefore culture is most important to the relevance of life – for if we cannot look back to admire or learn from what we have done and carry on in the tradition of what we perceive as the best for us all then what is the point of doing anything?

I also KNOW that creativity and the beauty of creating art is the fastest resolution to Depression!
After such a catastrophe as the Black Sat Bushfires the depression will be massive centering on the survivors & the families of the victims then radiating out to lesser degrees to everyone on the planet who has heard of it!
And indifference is the final level of depression
We will all need our cultural support & our art to help heal us from this horror.

Thereby art & artists are VITAL to life!

As I said first I am a writer but these are some of the many more facets to my creativity and my personality and character:

I read and from that glean so much towards my interests of sociology and philosophy and my pet loves – history, nature, children and physics

I also perform as a singer and actor and to recite my poetry & prose and speak with people as often as I can; I like to claim [with tongue in cheek] that I am an excellent orallist!

I would like to say I have the ability to do more handcrafts and arts but I pale into insignificance in comparison to what I have seen in here

I must thank Rob Ashley for opening up this avenue to me already I feel my life is richer for having explored and viewed through here the very many other talented artists who have made redbubble their creative gallery

And if you have had work favoured by me or yourself added to my watch list without comment from me it was during one of my 30 min Community / Activity “fishing” stints – where I go looking for inspiration – so thank you for inspiring me! (& I shall get back to you soon!)

7th February 2009 will go down as Black Saturday
A day that the weather made perfect for bushfire
a bushfire started on 4 fronts that quickly became a fire storm that has devistated the great dividing range fr4om the Hume Highway to the foothills of the High Country and obliterated the bush as we knew it!
The bush will return eventually but
gone are historic towns forever
- Marysville 160yo / Kinglake 100yo / Flowerdale 100yo
gone are over a thousand homes leaving 5000 homeless
gone are 181 lives affecting thousands and thousands of people – everyone knows someone who knows someone either a survivor or a victim

Please go to our PHOENIX APPEAL Group
There you will find donated art where the proceeds will go to Red Cross

- This will take at least a year of support to help these communities recover

- the media will go back to normal next week
we will go back to normal next week
BUT the survivors CAN’T!

- we must help still!
- Your compassion is highly appreciated !!!

Our eternal thanks go to the men & women of the CFA [Country Fire Authority]
These people Volunteer their time and their efforts and at times their LIVES to help another
Many have lost their own homes in the process of saving another’s!!
THANK YOU GUYS !!!! For you go and do what needs to be done!! What I cannot do!
