Adela, I had to come back to this image. Your vision from Romania is accompanied by a sweet haunting feeling, particularly this one. Growing up in a young nation like Australia I have always loved the romantic haunting myths about Vampires and have also learnt much about the legends that have come from folklore. I like dark stories and this mountain conjures visions of a Walachian King with too much power that rose up in the middle of a confusing time for religion and became the hated hero that took his savagery beyond the realms of sanity. His name is Vlad, haa haa ahaaaa… Wow, Adela, I have had 3 comments in one day from amazingly talented Romanians, it’s a lovely shift in culture.

Wonderful shot. I must admit, the fiction about Dracula made me very interested in real images of the Carpathians. Definately a beautiful and romantic place.

Stunning shot, I keep expecting to see a carriage drawn by 8 jet black horses move silently out of the mist. Beautiful shot. Exactly how I imagined it when reading about this place. I am reading Bram Stokers Dracula again for the nth time so this has added an extra dimension.
