Eastern Queen Of Sheba Orchid. by

Thelymitra aff. variegata, grows in several places in the Stirling Range, Western Australia. The Queen of Sheba belongs to the sun orchid family and as the name suggests, the day needs to be warm and sunny to find this flower open.

I retired to Frankland River 10 years ago, after living in Perth since 1971; originally I was from Shropshire, England.
Most of my work, is done in the lower south of Western Australia, mainly Frankland, my garden, and Albany. However, I do visit my family who still live in Perth, and try to take the opportunity to photograph other places.
