It grows in less than a handful of place and we have the largest colony here in Frankland River. We are trying to get the area where it grows into a conservation park, but even after 11 years it’s not certain that it ever will be.
Why not bring it to the attention of the Kings Park Conservation group, they propogate and save many species in their special gardens
They are well aware of this orchid and my husband works on the DEC rare flora program, so it is well documented. We also have belonged to the Native Orchid Society for over 20 years, so many of the members too are aware of it.

I think that is the reason why it got it’s common name, as I believe Cossack dancers cross their arms when they dance.
