Grown from a seed by me and growing in my Australian Native Plants garden in Frankland River, Western Australia.

Native plant that grows in the South West and noted for its large, spectacular flowers.

I’m told that it is unusual to have both yellow and red flowers on the same tree. Usually the different coloured flowers are on different branches, but this year I saw a red and a yellow flower as close as those in the photo below.

About Eve Parry

I retired to Frankland River 10 years ago, after living in Perth since 1971; originally I was from Shropshire, England.
Most of my work, is done in the lower south of Western Australia, mainly Frankland, my garden, and Albany. However, I do visit my family who still live in Perth, and try to take the opportunity to photograph other places.
