I know I have commented on this before… on your previous upload when you were showing the work in progress – that time you had already put much effort in the eyes. I have to say, these maybe the best eyes you’ve drawn – the two sparkles in each of them, along with the various shades around their spherical glassy surface really bring them to life; like they are moving – maybe even getting watery… One eye alone in this portrait is already a masterpiece in itself – seriously, I just took my fingers and framed the eye itself admiring the detail! And with those pupils, there is certainly a strong expression in those eyes.

Everything else of course is also very well done – it’s amazing how soft and light you can draw those lashes over those bold eyes. Each strand of fur shows the different colour this little guy has, as well defines the shape of his face – and the different length, softness, and areas of scruffiness… I love how soft and consistent and soft the fur on those ears are in contrast the fur on the body that are sometimes sticking out here and there, especially around the edges and under the arms (front legs). The texture of the nose is very well done too; very realistic.

… Yup I’ve said a lot – I was afraid of going long-winded and avoided commenting for a long time, but it truly is a beautiful piece worthy of the praise. x
