Maya by

2009. Age 22

This. took. hours…

Drawn on smooth bristol board.

My first attempt of “Maya” was complete in Feburary 2009, however I was not happy with the finished piece so decided to get back to the drawing board… literally. I poured everything into this effort so I really hope it shows. There’s a lot of detail that can’t be seen unless zoomed in – for example each ear has multiple layers of hair strands, each one casting their own shadow. I really tried to push myself with this picture and I am happy with the finished result. I hope you like it too :-)

This is amazing. One of the major things that I noticed that always stands out about your work Adam is the detail. Everytime I view a piece of your work I truly appreciate how much effort and work you put into them. This piece is so beautifully done. Great job! : )

Such a beautiful drawing, she looks so soft…you can see the love in her eyes. :)

  • Thank you :-)

I really tried hard to create a sense of ‘softness’ in the furr so i’m pleased it shows. The eyes took a lot of time but i think those hours spent paid off, i hope so at least.

Thank you for your kind and thoughtful comment, it really means a lot. Best regards.
