I tried to make this little fella look sweet and endearing, like he is desperate to be loved and adored, despite his scruffy self. The depth in his eyes, his tiny little mouth, the small paw slightly reaching out: It is all his way of alluring you in. He just needs some warmth.. someone to love him, take him home and care for him.

I personally think the most beautiful cats are those that appear slightly odd or those that would otherwise remain unloved… So yes, of course I love him. I hope you do too.

It is wonderful how many people have commented on this image and I appreciate each and every one.

I was definitely going for the ‘cute’ factor… so its good to see the little fella isn’t considered scary! Heh. I sometimes imagine this little kitten wishing he was a tiger or a lion and feels somewhat annoyed with his adorable little face – He could try his best to roar a furious roar but all that will escape from his tiny mouth is a soft meow. hehe, bless him.

I absolutely adore your little avator, very cute and very sweet. I read in our profile you have four cats? I’m very jelous! Sadly my beloved cat, Morris, died last year and although i’m not keen to replace him… i do wish to share my love with another cat. Having four would be great! I’m sure they must keep you busy :-)

Having another look at this, this little guy looks like Morris; the white fur bordering those eyes, and those black stripes… I read through the Morris comments a while back and noticed you saying that you were planning to do two other drawings of Morris, another as a kitten and the other as his scruffy self; and this seems to fit both description… could this possibly be…

This is certainly Morris inspired… I must admit it isn’t a direct portrait of him, but he was of course in the back of my mind (well, the front of it) when I drew this little fella. This picture reminds me of the first time I actually met Morris… He was so small and tiny – so desperate to be loved. Just like this lil kitty here :-)

Wonderful work! I could just pick this little fellow up and take him home!! I agree with your comments – I too have always been drawn to cats that have lost part of an ear or are so cross-bred thay look really unique! My old cat has lost most of her teeth in an accident and her tongue hangs out most of the time! Pretty cute!!
