This cute little fella is called a ‘Plar’. He’s stuck up that tree! He even wore a winged-hat, but alas, he forgot he was scared of heights. Bless his little cottons.
Usually Plars portray themselves elegantly, with a sense of pride and defiance despite their adorably big and alluring eyes. However, as this Plar shows, they are actually small and fragile little creatures who need our love just as much as we need theirs.

Aw, thank you both.
This little chappy started as a quick doodle to help me remember how to sketch! Though as i added more detail it seemed to build up quite nicely. Its still not perfect and there are annoying black blotches all over the place, but i really like how sweet and fragile this Plar looks.
I have another tree-inspired plar planned, I hope you like that too :-)

i find trees to be an absolute bugger to draw, so i highly commend you for succeeding. :) is this ‘plar’ character something of your own, or is it from some wider fan community i’m not aware of? either way, he’s very cute. has a marvin the martian quality to him. :)

Its very encouraging to see that my Plars are being received so well. Oh, and Plars are completely and utterly my own little creatures. I started to draw them when i was about ten years old :-p

What a lovely thing to say. Thank you and I’m over the moon my little plar characters have inspired you. I will be very excited to see what you write. I am actually drafting out an idea for a Plar Book right now: they have so many stories to tell, adventures to take and treasures to discover… Each and every day is like a dream to them, where a simple and subtle flower can look stunning in their eyes.
