This is the full size image. Peacocks are one of my themes for 2010 and this is my second creation ! The painting was created using acrylic and metal foils on box canvas. The reflective qualities these create means that the image changes when viewed at different angles.
The original measures 100 × 50 cms.

I am loving this peacock series. I love the way the tail curves up and makes your eyes follow it to the bird. Wonderful!

  • Hey, thanks for noticing that !! I tried to create a little dramatic perspective ! :-) Just starting the next one. Its going to be a little different again but you´ll have to wait and see !!

The background is reminiscent for me of Klimt’s work, which I love. The simple pattern of the tail is made very enchanting with this perspective.

  • Thanks Paula. Klimt is a big influence on my work :)
