Another beauty… what equipment are you using?
I have the cannon 1000D with the 300mm lens that came with the budget package. Looking forward to getting some better lens soon, or even some filters.. Thanks for the comments mate, appreciated!

Yep Canon’s do a nice job and the lens is outstanding for a budget one. Would you have set your saturation to full?.. and no doubt taken on an overcast day?
Overcast yes, as for saturation, I left it as standard. Looking at buying a few filters soon for that cloudy look everyday. :)

This is a marvellous shot of our Noisy Miner!!!!!
Much more than the usual bird-on-a-stick fare this image is dynamic – the bird is actually doing something.
Extremely good exposure in good light, with equally good depth of field and focus.
The eye is sharp and has a nice little catchlight and the colours are so beautifully natural.
The composition works very well making full use of the angle of the bird.
